Dr. Berschauer is the owner and founder of Healing Hearts. He has been a long time resident of South Orange County since moving to Laguna Hills in 1981. He graduated from Laguna Hills High School where he developed his deep interest in science and went on to major in Biology and then went to UC Davis where he graduated with his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1997. While working on his undergraduate, Bob started working at Animal Urgent Care as a technician to gain the experience and knowledge he knew he needed to be a great Vet. He worked for AUC for 20 years while also working at multiple other Emergency/Specialty hospitals in Southern California.
Opening Healing Hearts has always been his dream to be able to provide quality medicine to the pets and clients in all of Southern California, while not being given strict guidelines by a Corporation.
Dr. Berschauer lives in San Clemente, CA with his wife Jennifer and his two daughters, Anna and Elise. They also share their home with two Golden Retrievers, four cats and an endless supply of foster kittens that they love to watch grow up and go to happy furever homes. When not working, he loves to spend his free time with the family.
