Board-Certified Specialist in Emergency & Critical Care and Nephrology & Urology
Dr. Spillane completed her veterinary school in Australia, after which she moved to the United States to undergo residency training in Emergency & Critical Care at the University of Illinois. Dr. Spillane went on to pursue a specialized fellowship in extracorporeal therapies at The Ohio State University, gaining expertise in renal replacement therapy, hemoperfusion, and therapeutic plasma exchange. This ignited her love for all things kidneys, so she continued her training as one of the inaugural residents in nephrology and urology with the American College of Veterinary Nephrology and Urology. Dr. Spillane has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications, contributed to collaborative clinical research, and has presented at international veterinary conferences.
Outside the hospital, Dr. Spillane enjoys spending time with her husband, their dog, and two cats. She loves the Southern California sunshine, trying new restaurants, and firmly believes there’s never a bad day to visit Disneyland.
